Great Plains State Park is located two miles north of Mountain Park on highway 183. The family friendly park offers RV camping, tent camping, hiking trails, swimming, boating, picnicking, and of course fishing.
All camping and RV spaces were filled during the Memorial Day weekend.

A scenic bridge is located on the walk trail that goes through the camp area along the lake side. Information signs tells about the history and features of the park.
